This was my final typographic submission for my first year at USW. We were instructed to produce typographic outcomes for a fictional exhibit at Amgueddfa Cymru: I was given "Blazing Inventions / Dyfeisiadau Tanbaid". I decided to style my typography after Parisian architecture, due to its moniker as "The City of Light", as well as the important role of "The French Enlightenment" in culture and historical progress.
I showcased how the concept could be used in physical and digital spaces.
I didn't produce a full typeface at the time, though I eventually returned to the concept to complete the alphabet and add some basic punctuation. There were a number of variable glyphs, intended to produce the effect of long promenades and breaks in the roof, just like in the streets of Paris.
